w169 armrest center console removal
Hi, I want to remove the armrest from an A180 at the breakers yard, I got as far as removing the panel at the back which houses a 12v socket and unscrewing the two torx screws as well as the two front ones. However, whilst the armrest console is quite loose it's still a bugger to get off, something has a hold on it and I really don't want to break it by forcing it off. It seems that it's something near the handbrake but just don't know what.
I've looked for a good tutorial, video, diagrams to get the thing off properly but haven't found anything helpful. Wondering if you guys had anything you can share with me please?

I'm planning to remove the top rear centre console myself to fit a brand new one I just bought (after having it carbon dipped), so was actually printing these very pages a short while ago.
