Cheese empanadas are a delicious and versatile dish that can be found in many places in Latin America. Its preparation is simple and can easily be adapted with different ingredients. Perfect as a snack or main dish. Enjoy your meal.
In the preparation of cheese empanadas, a portion of dough is placed on the work surface to form circles.
Then, they are filled with cheese and carefully folded, sealing the edges delicately.
Subsequently, they are baked until golden and ready to serve.
Cheese Empanada
4 Servings Share this recipe Ingredients2 cups of Dough
½ teaspoon of Salt
½ cup of Grated white cheese
1 pinch of Tabasco
PreparationStep 1 : To prepare spicy cheese tortillas, start by mixing the dough with salt and Tabasco.
Step 2 : Then, form balls of 1 1/2 teaspoons of dough and place them between two plastic sheets.
Step 3 : Next, press with a pot to form a thin tortilla.
Step 4 : Then, add 1 1/4 teaspoons of grated cheese in the center of the tortilla and fold in half.
Step 5 : Gently seal the edges with your fingertips.
Step 6 : Finally, fry the tortillas in hot oil until golden brown.
Step 7 : Ready to enjoy!
