What Happened Previously On Horimiya: The Missing Pieces?
Hori felt guilty for not texting Miyamura and for skipping school. She speculated that the girl could be a friend from middle school. She felt anxious about speaking with Miyamura when she arrived at class the following day. Miyamura had expressed concern for her, and Ishikawa proposed that she sit close to him by the window.
Hori tried to ignore Miyamura after their encounter, but he later admitted he knew she was awake when he made his proposal. Hori was curious about the female he was spotted with and found out it was Shindo's girlfriend Chika. Hori became irritated with Miyamura's attention on Chika and struck him with a book.
Miyamura paid Hori a visit at her house later, and they discussed their displeasure. While Hori apologized to him for hitting him with a book, Miyamura acknowledged his mistake. Hori laughed that Miyamura didn't know Chika's last name and wished he had told her sooner to stop the misunderstanding between them.
Just as they were about to confess, Hori's father, Kyosuke, showed in, puffing on marijuana and interrogating Miyamura. When he blew smoke at Miyamura, Hori kicked him and reprimanded him for smoking indoors. Miyamura discovered Kyosuke was Hori's father, and they all studied together after Kyosuke made fun of Miyamura for dating Hori. Since Kyosuke disliked boys with long hair, Miyamura even thought about getting a haircut.
