Michael Jackson – Heal The World マイケル・ジャクソン – ヒール・ザ・ワールド

マイケル・ジャクソン の8thアルバム「Dangerous」(1991年) に収録されている曲で、1992年にシングルカットされました。

歌詞の意味と解釈

タイトル「ヒール・ザ・ワールド」を訳すと「 世界を癒そう 」となります。

癒す、という表現ですとやや軽い気がしますが、歌の内容は「人間同士の争いで傷ついた世界を、愛で治癒しよう」というものです。

壮大なテーマに思えますが、歌詞の一節には「 Make a little space, Make a better place 」(=小さくたっていいから、良い場所にしていこう) とあるように、人々が自分のできる範囲で「世界を良い場所にする」ことが「世界を治癒する」ことだと、歌われています。
