Double Top Jig

1- 4 1s dance down to 3rd place (2s+3s step up), 1s+3s change places (Men RH, Ladies LH) 5- 8 1s+2s turn (Men LH, Ladies RH), 2s face out 9-16 2s+1s+3s dance mirror reels of 3 on sides (1s in/down, 3s out/up, 2s out/down). 1s end facing 1st corners 17-24 1s dance ½ diagonal reel of 4 with 1st corners, pass LSh to face 2nd corners; 1s dance ½ diagonal reel of 4 with 2nd corners and end in 2nd place opposite side 25-28 2s+1s+3s form circle and set, drop hands and petronella turn 1 place to right 29-32 All form circle and set, drop hands and petronella turn 1 place to right. 213

This dance was devised for Eileen and Neil Oxlade to celebrate their 40th birthdays.

Double Top is a reference to the sport of darts. It is the term given when a player has just 40 left to score and will attempt to get the dart in the double-20 slot.
