As convenient as it would be, expired fish don't work, so you can't stockpile fish for easy repeatable turn-ins.

Want to know something cool? Even though this is a character bound quest chain, as long as 1 character has done the chain and you accept the quest on THAT character, you can turn the fish in on ANY character! You just have to take the quest on the character that is able to first.
